Game Summary
During the opening night of its latest, and reportedly greatest-to-date, opera, the Grand Salami Opera House is overrun by hi-tech thieves. Being the dastardly criminals they are, they have stolen the rich audience members' valuables and taken hostage the opera's beautiful, female co-star.
You play Giovanni, the star of the opera. You must rescue your captured co-star and collect your audience's stolen valuables along the way. Your ability to navigate each amazing map depends solely on four movements: Move Left, Move Right, Inflate your chest (float), and Vocal Blast.
Inflating your chest allows you to float for as long as you can hold your breath (meter based). The acts of filling your chest with air and blasting music notes at your enemies, or destructible map objects, are linked. You must fill your chest to produce blasts and if you are floating, you fall as soon as you musically blast an enemy.
Your vocal blast changes depending on how long the ability button is held. Quick press will produce a wide-spread base note with ranged destructive abilities to multiple targets. Long press will hone your voice to a Tenor note that does maximum damage to a focused target.
Valuables are picked up during level play, for points. You complete the game when you reach the master thief and rescue your co-star.
Awesome idea Adam!
ReplyDeleteOnly question, how do you move forward? is it on a track? Side scroller? Top down?
Super fun idea :)
Crap, forgot to mention it was a side-scroller. My bad!
